Building a life with more options
I’m the founder of SPINCHOICE, and Austria is now my primary home. I still own a property in the Netherlands, which I rent out when I am not using it myself.
For me, this was never about escaping one country for another. It is about creating more options, greater autonomy and less dependence on a single place or system.
In Carinthia, I am putting that into practice. I am renovating and extending my home, working towards greater energy independence, growing some of my own food and exploring the possibility of a private water source.
At the same time, I build and operate businesses internationally. Austria is my home base, but my work, network and opportunities extend far beyond national borders.
I am not trying to live off-grid. I am building a life where I can choose what I depend on and what I control myself.
For me, that is freedom.
Why this conversation is growing
The world is changing through an accumulation of pressures rather than one single event.
